Make printed photos come alive

XpertAR turns a wedding album page, a framed photo or an invitation card into an augmented reality video. Your customer points a phone at the print and the video plays on the photo itself — in the browser, with no app to install.

Use cases

Where studios and shops sell living photos

The same scan-to-play trick sells a dozen different ways. Photographers and album makers add AR to wedding albums, frame sellers light up the wall, and gift shops, card shops and event studios put video messages on printed keepsakes.

AR wedding albums

Add AR to wedding albums page by page. The couple scans page 14 and the ceremony film plays right on the photograph — the single best upsell in the album.

Photo frames on the wall

Point a phone at any framed print and it starts playing. Families revisit the moment every day, and every guest who tries it asks who made it.

Gifts, cards and invitations

Gift shops sell an AR birthday card that plays a video message, a personalised mug or keepsake that talks, an AR wedding invitation with the save-the-date film. One printed QR code does the whole job.

How it works

Scan photo, play video — in three steps

This is the whole workflow for adding video to a printed photo. Upload once, print the code, and the AR keeps working on every phone that scans it.

Step 01

Upload the photo and the video

In the dashboard, upload the printed photo as the AR target and the clip that should play on it. Both are compressed in the browser before they leave the phone or laptop.

Step 02

Print the QR code with the album

You get a short link and a QR code. Print it on the album jacket, the frame back or the invitation card — or just send the link on WhatsApp.

Step 03

Your customer scans and watches

They open the link, allow the camera and point it at the print. The video appears on the photo and tracks it as the album moves. Nothing to install.

Built for studios and shops

AR software that fits a shop counter, not a lab

XpertAR is AR for a real business, whether you shoot weddings, frame prints or sell gifts: per-customer folders, white-label links you hand to clients, and no dependency on an app store.

Singles and Albums

One print, one video for a Single. Or an Album where every page is its own target, sharing a single link and QR code.

Compressed before upload

Images and videos are optimised in the browser, so a shoot on a slow studio connection still uploads and still plays smoothly.

Organised by customer

Every AR photo sits under the client it belongs to, so you can reopen a two-year-old wedding and find the right file in seconds.

Editor accounts you control

Give your team editor logins. Each editor sees only their own customers and content, and admins see everything.

AR without an app

Browser-based WebAR works on almost any modern phone. The XpertAR Android app is there for heavy scanners, never required.

Scan analytics

See opens, unique viewers and which prints get scanned most, per item and per customer. Useful proof when you pitch the next client.

Pricing

Trade rates, quoted per studio

We work with photographers, album makers and frame shops directly, so the rate depends on the volume you print. Tell us roughly how many albums or frames you do in a month and we will send you your price.

Ask usfor your rate

Credits, not a subscription: you buy a balance and spend it per AR photo, and nothing renews on its own. What one photo costs is agreed with you before you start.

FAQ

Questions studios and shops ask before their first AR print

Everything about targets, phones, printing the QR code and what it costs to add video to a printed photo.

Does my customer need to install an app to see the AR video?

No. XpertAR runs as WebAR, straight in the phone browser. Your customer opens the link or scans the QR code, allows the camera, points the phone at the printed photo and the video plays on the print. There is also an optional XpertAR Android app for people who scan often, but nobody is ever forced to install anything.

Which phones work with XpertAR?

Almost any phone from the last few years. On Android use Chrome, on iPhone use Safari, and keep the browser updated. The only real requirements are a rear camera and an internet connection, because the video streams while it plays.

How long can the video be, and how long does it play?

You choose a video length when you create the item, starting at 15 seconds, with longer tiers available at a small surcharge. While your customer keeps the phone pointed at the photo the video keeps playing, and it pauses the moment the print leaves the frame.

Which printed photo works best as an AR target?

Pick a print with plenty of detail and contrast, matte finish, at least postcard size, and printed sharply. Busy scenes, textures and faces track very well. Avoid heavy glossy lamination that mirrors the room lights, near-empty backgrounds and prints that are mostly one flat colour.

How do I print or share the QR code?

Every AR photo gets a short link and a downloadable QR code from your dashboard. Album makers usually print the QR on the album jacket, the first page or the back of the frame, and event studios put it on the invitation card. You can also send the link on WhatsApp with no printing at all.

What does it cost to add AR to a photo?

Pricing is credit based, with no subscription. One AR photo costs credits from your balance, longer videos and longer active periods add a surcharge, and you top up in credit packages whenever you need. Message us on WhatsApp for the current package prices in ₹.

Can I make a whole wedding album AR, not just one photo?

Yes. Create an Album and add as many pages as you like. Every page becomes its own AR target with its own video, all behind a single link and QR code, so your customer scans anywhere in the album and the right video plays on the right page.

How do I open an XpertAR account?

Sign up yourself in one tap with your Google account and start straight away with free joining credits, no call and no waiting. Buy a credit package within a week to keep your AR links live. If you would rather we set the account up for you, message us on WhatsApp and we will do it for you.

How long does the AR stay live after I create it?

You pick an active period when you create the item, from one year up to a Lifetime plan, and the dashboard shows the exact expiry date. You can upgrade an item to a longer period at any time. Lifetime means an extended fixed term as described in our Terms and Conditions, not a perpetual guarantee.
